Beat Thang was a hardware sampler/drum machine developed by Beaat Kangz Electronics (BKE). It was released in 2011. It had portability bestowed by a Lithium Ion battery, it shipped stocked with an assortment of production-level samples, not just drums. It was also accompanied by Beat Thang Virtual, a purely software version that can act as a plug-in, which is still in use by some producers today. The biggest problem with beat thang (hardware and software versions was the lack of a sequencer.
You had to pretty much play everything live to record it in. there was no way to nudge or move notes. so if you messed up you had to hit record and do it again. we here at Beat Café we were able to get our hands on one of these lost gems and sample the incredible sounds that shipped with the hardware all those years ago and put them in a a downloadable package so no matter what Hardware or software sampler or sequencer you use you will get the sound of the Beat Thang.
